
BOS Toronto engaged Hardboot for their client, Homesense, to build a promotional website for their Back-to-School campaign that was tightly integrated with their Facebook Page. The “Design Your Digs” interactive campaign had contestants design their own dorm room or home office using Homesense products.
The Outcome
Hardboot worked with the Homesense team to uncover the objectives of the campaign. Our team developed an interactive application that lived on the Homesense site and was integrated within their Facebook Page. The interactive Flash application used a drag/drop functionality allowing visitors to create their dream rooms.
- The “Design Your Digs” site was launched, and created an immediate buzz that linked Homesense products with gamification by creating your own space.
- The campaign ran for over 5 weeks and boasted over 50,000 unique visitors. It was so successful, they continued to repeat the contest for FOUR straight years.
- Through the interactive website and Facebook integration, Homesense was able to secure 100,000 lifetime Facebook ‘likes’ by the time the campaign closed.
