Junior Engineer (Part-Time)

We are seeking a part-time junior engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an energetic self-starter with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and experience building modern web applications. As a member of our team you will be working with all aspects of our tech stack (front-end, back end and DevOps), to help bring our vision to life by developing new features, improving our platform, and driving product direction. Creative problem-solving skills, determination, and integrity are all key attributes.

Responsibilities
– Own the entire development process: take ownership of new features, create implementation plans, execute on plans to meet deadlines, test new functionality, launch products, gather customer feedback, and iterate
– Collaborate with other members of the technical team to bring new features to life while communicating respectfully and efficiently
– Support the current user base, responding to requests for fixes, enhancements and routine DevOps tasks
– Stay informed on the latest trends, technologies and design patterns in modern web development

Requirements
– At least 2 years of experience developing production applications using a modern JavaScript framework (preferably React with MUI) is required
– Experience developing production backends in Python is strongly preferred
– Familiarity with various AWS services (like Lambda, S3, SAM, Cognito, SNS, SES, Route53 or CloudWatch) is great to have
– Ability to initiate and drive projects with open-ended guidance, while understanding the priorities of key stakeholders, in a time-sensitive and flexible manner
– A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred
